Events & Waiver

Each family that comes to Allen Acres Adventure can decide which of the activities offered they would like to enjoy.

Horse riding – Horse rides occur in a round pen. Each child is carefully put on a saddled horse and then lead around the round pen by an adult. Other activities with the horses, such as ‘brushing them off’ and ‘feeding them grain’ are all carefully supervised. We have helmets for the kids to wear if the parents desire such.
Archery – We have an archery range. We have little bows and arrows for children. Each child that is shooting has a mentor with them. The bows require a very light pull.
Pond – We have a small pond. We have a very large fiberglass boat that we can handle 3 or 4 children at one time. We have a launch area that is safe for the kids to get in and out of the boat. An adult is with the children in the boat. Each child is required to wear a life jacket. We have four small paddles that the kids and adults can use to propel the boat.

We may plant fish in the pond this summer. If so, the kids will be given a fishing pole and taught how to cast if they want to. We will use barbless hooks and release any fish that is caught. When fishing from the shore the children will be required to keep their life jackets on.
BB-gun (wrist rocket range) – This activity is carefully monitored. No more than two children can shoot at a time. Each shooter will have an adult with them. Adults will load each bb-gun before the child shoots. They will be shooting at tin cans, balloons, clay pigeons, etc. A wrist rocket range is also available. This activity is great fun for the whole family.
Playground Equipment - We have playground equipment available for families. This includes large swings, short slide, round tire swing, and monkey bars. There is also a sand pile and trampoline. Families can also play lawn games and water balloon volleyball. We also have a kickball and softball court.
Rangers – We have a ranger or two that we transport families around during the activities. The drivers are Anne and Steve Allen.
Supper – Each family cooks their own supper. We have a fire in the fire ring and each family member can roast their own hot dogs and marshmallows.
Waiver – Each family must sign the waiver before the activities begin. Waiver to follow.

Guests will be required to fill out and sign a hard copy of this waiver upon arrival.

Release & Indemnity Agreement – Allen Acres Adventure (“Agreement”)

This is a Binding Legal Contract.

Allen Acres Adventure, Steven W. Allen, individually, Anne R. Allen, individually, the Steven W. Allen Family Living Trust, dated October 19, 1989, as amended, and the Anne R. Allen Family Living Trust, dated October 19, 1989, as amended (individually and collectively the “Providers”) have agreed to make available various activities, including, without limitation, all the activities shown and described at allenacresadventure.org and on the following two pages (individually and collectively, “Services”) at their property located at 295 Hardscrabble Road, Morgan, Utah 84050 (the “Property”). I am aware that the Property and Services can involve serious risks. In consideration of the Services offered by the Providers, and as an inducement for them to provide the use of the Property, and as a further inducement to the Providers to provide the Services, I agree to assume and accept all risks associated with the Property and Services, including those risks caused by the negligence of the Providers, their owners, employees, children, or agents (individually and collectively referred to as “Related Parties”). I release, indemnify and forever hold the Providers and Related Parties harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, actions, or causes of action for injury or damage of every kind and nature arising incident to or in connection with the Property and Services made available by Providers and Related Parties and from any other cause including the negligence of the Providers and/or Related Parties. I agree never to sue the Providers or the Related Parties on any claim occurring or arising on the Property or out of the Services provided by the Providers and Related Parties. All of the foregoing protections shall be available to others who may be assisting on the Property or with the Services of Providers. This Agreement is binding on my heirs and assigns.

I understand, accept and agree that this release is a material inducement for the Providers to provide the Property and the Services, and that the same would not be made available without this release.
